Calculate Raw CGPA
No course list needed — just your current standing and this semester's grades.
Course credits auto-fill as 3 — edit any of them if a course (like a thesis or lab) carries a different weight.
Credit-weighted average: each course's grade point × its credits, summed and divided by credits attempted — a 3-credit course moves your CGPA 3× as much as a 1-credit lab.
GPA =
∑ (Grade point × Credits)
∑ Credits attempted
CGPA applies this across every course you've taken, not an average of semester GPAs — this calculator reconstructs it as CGPA × completed credits, adds this semester's, divides by the new total.
P (Pass), I (Incomplete) and W (Withdrawal) carry no grade point and are excluded.
- An F in a course may be retaken twice. A third attempt is possible only by exception, arranged by your Head of Department or Dean with the Registrar (for example, to protect a student's progression).
- Non-credit courses (091/092) taken in the first or second semester may be retaken only once.
- Beyond that, further attempts need the Head of Department's permission in consultation with the Registrar, and only where major circumstances beyond your control applied.
- The best grade you earn is the one counted toward your CGPA.
- A course may be repeated once to improve the grade.
- It must be repeated within 2 semesters of when you first enrolled in it. The Residential Semester (RS) doesn't count toward those two — so a course taken in Semester 01 can still be repeated in Semester 04, since Semester 03 (RS) is skipped.
- There is no cap on the grade you can earn in the repeated course.
- The latest grade counts toward your CGPA — not the best one.
The key difference: a retake (after an F) keeps your best grade, but a repeat (to improve a pass) keeps your most recent grade. If a repeat goes worse than your original, the lower grade is what stays on your CGPA. The Repeat Analytics tab models exactly this risk.
You may still see an older rule online capping retakes and repeats at B+ (from the Summer 2019 clarification). BRACU's current published policy states there is no cap and that it applies to all students — but if you're planning around this, confirm with the Registrar first.

Program Elective Focus
Reorders the course picker for Program Elective slots to show your area first. Doesn't restrict what you can pick, or affect your CGPA.
Defaults to the official Version 3 recommended sequence, but add, remove or swap any course in any semester, and add semesters beyond 12 if you need them — what matters for graduation is 136 total credits, not matching this layout exactly.
This sequence covers Version 3 only (intake from Spring 2020 onward) — if you enrolled earlier, your curriculum differs and this tab won't match your gradesheet.

Quick start:
- Jump to whichever semester you're actually in with the dropdown or search above.
- Pick a grade for each course as you get it — the course picker, credits, and CGPA all update live.
- Retaking or repeating a course? Just pick the same course again in a later semester — it's auto-detected and tagged RT/RP, and counted correctly in your CGPA.

Should I Repeat?
Every course below 4.00, with the max CGPA you'd reach with vs. without repeating it. Pure analysis — repeat it for real in Semester Wise CGPA.
BRACU rule: you may repeat a course once to improve its grade, within 2 semesters of first taking it — the Residential Semester doesn't count toward those two. There's no cap on the new grade, and whichever grade you get most recently is the one that counts, even if it's lower.
